This project was a map and guide of almost all of the skate parks in San Diego. The title of this guide was Kick Push. The concept of the project was that I wanted to make it resemble a poster that you would find in a skateboard magazine. I wanted it to be very bold and eye catching, something that was entertaining to look at. The color is a bright orange that pulls you in to look further. The photos were sourced from a local skater and skate photographer: Brandon Ayala.

We used the local yelp reviews to help the reader be informed about the best park for them. The map was custom designed to help navigate through the cities skate parks.

I really wanted this project to look as if it was breaking outside of the box, literally. The contrast of the crisp black and white photos along with the 80% color overlay creates a very interesting system that gives it depth and keeps your eye moving around the page.
